Welcome to Minahassa Lagoon Resort
Your first stop should be a spacious private beach. You’ll find it perfect for building sand castles, swimming in the warm and gentle surf or simply soaking up the rays on readily available sun beds. The resort is situated 30 km southwest of Manado. Lush green tropical rainforests surround the resort. The water laps the shore onto a private beach of dark volcanic sands. The infinity pool waits as does the sea front Jacuzzi for you to relax and enjoy during the day or night time.
Cool off in the air-conditioned clubhouse with a DVD library and projector, book library and reference materials specific to the local marine life and more. A souvenir and clothes shop is on the premises for you to take home a small gift to friends and family. If you have some business to take care of while away on holidays there is a full range of office services including fax, internet, and e-mail, with wireless connectivity.
For dining there are two fantastic choices. The River Restaurant prepares Italian, international and Asian delicacies, four course dinner “a la carte”. You will find each meal a treat and a feast… with each course having multiple options for you to customize to taste. The first course is appetizers… exotic salads, savory concoctions, and various surprises from faraway lands. Once your mouth has awoken, the second course will give you another layer of the taste experience, whether it is a spicy pasta dish or succulent soup. If you aren't used to multiple course meals, you will appreciate this tradition from your first meal to your last. For the main course, you'll choose from a selection of main dishes, always fulfilling, sometimes surprising, and good to the last bite. Just remember to save a bit of room for your choice of desserts… as no great meal is complete without a last impression!
The other is the “Jungle Restaurant “that offers a selection of local specialties. When the stars are out at night don’t forget to drop by the “Sea Front Bar” for a night cap or a savory glass of wine. A stay would not be complete without complete relaxation at the spa. Sooth your body, soul and mind. Relax as tender touches from a therapeutic massage relax your weary muscles from your journey. Follow up with a soak in the Jacuzzi, and a good night’s rest in the comfort of your cottage.
Plenty of tours can be arranged from the resort on arrival.

Manado’s Bunaken Marine National Park has some amazing diving. It seems that anywhere in Indonesia new species are constantly being discovered. There are over 25 dives sites just short boat rides away from the resort. Bunaken’s walls, covered in hard and soft corals drop deep into the depths of the ocean. It is common to see reef sharks, turtles and Napoleons among the reef.
Around the island the reef twists and turns as does the wall. Some dive sites like Lekuan II have many vertical falls, splits and holes where critters like to hide. The house reefs of the resort are home to a variety of weird and wonderful species.
The house reef is home to many shellfish, mollusks and nudibranchs. The house reefs are a great place for those who enjoy macro photography. Often ghost pipefish, leaf scorpion fish, frog fish and ribbon eels can be spotted in this shallow magical place. Defiantly dive the house reefs if you need a break from wall diving and prefer to search out the camouflaged critters hiding amongst the madreporic formations. Please note that there is a mandatory national park fee that must be paid to dive in Bunaken Marine Park, upon arrival.
