Komodo, Indonesia

Situated between Sumbawa and Flores Islands in the Lesser Sunda Island chain lays Komodo National Park, belonging to the largest archipelago in the world, Indonesia.
Komodo was established as a World Heritage Site in 1991 and the deep blue waters surrounding the islands are also protected. The marine national park encompasses two distinct marine habitats, tropical and temperate, and offers an endless list of spectacular sights to see. Coral reefs in pristine condition are home to sharks, manta rays, dolphins, tuna, and other pelagics, and of course home to some great critter diving. The Komodo Dragon still roams the stunning landscape allowing the brave to seek them on the beaches and in the hills. A number of villages can be found where life appears to be a throw back to years gone by, and the inhabitants are as intrigued to meet you, as you them.
